Echo Imaging & Diagnosis of the Heart
Sonography is a diagnostic imaging technique that people are most familiar with in the context of pregnancy. When this same technology is used for cardiac diagnosis, it’s called echocardiography. Think of it as an ultrasound for your heart—and thanks to its reliance on sound waves, echocardiography is completely noninvasive and carries no known risks or side effects.
It has become one of the most common procedures Nasser Cardiology and Vein Center performs in The Woodlands. It is commonly used for the diagnosis, treatment and ongoing evaluation of heart disease.
In most cases, an echocardiography can measure:
- Heart Size and Shape
- Pumping Capacity
- Tissue Damage
- Heart Function
If you’re experiencing systems potentially related to heart disease and are in need of an echocardiography, call 936-321-2366 to schedule an appointment with Dr. Nasser at the Nasser Cardiology and Vein Center.
